Dan + Marissa

Sneak Peek: {Sami + Garet}

Samantha and Garet got married at Dove Canyon Courtyard (one of our favorite venues) on a to-die-for January day.  Since I knew it might be a little bit before we got the professional photos back of this gorgeous couple and their day, I made sure to take the camera so I could share some of the details  that went into this amazing event.

Chocolate Peanut-butter cake by Flour and Flower Designs
This had to be a highlight of the entire event. Flour and Flower Designs Three layers of chocolatey peanut butter heaven. It was amazingly decadent and equally as delicious.

Sami wanted simple woodsy rustic elegance for her wedding. I think if she could have been married beneath the pine trees in the mountains, she would have, So we did our best to bring a little bit of that to her by incorporating simple elements like twine and wood, pinecones and willow branches.

Simple mason jars with tiny silver keys and whisps of babies breath lined the aisle for her walk.

We did a few different centerpieces for Sami and Garet. Each incorporated white flowers pinecones and other rustic detail.

We love when a bride goes out of her way to personalize her day. Sami and Garet didn't dissapoint and filled their venue with meaningful touches that added so much to the feel of their reception. Love the bar sign!

A hugely popular table at the wedding was the Hot Chocolate Bar. The couple provided sweet personalized mugs and sweet stir-ins for their quests. It was beautiful and thoughtful warm treat for their guests.

Pretty white frames guided wedding guests to their assigned table. Another easy detail that really added to the feel and flow of the day.

Rustic boxes filled with pine cones brought a touch of the woods into the reception. Oh and check out the cute table numbers hand painted on tree slabs-- Super adorable and beautifully done by one of the bridesmaids.

Curly willow coiled inside simple clear vases added interest and detail to another type of centerpiece. We used Vendela roses, Tibet Roses, Snowflake spray roses, white hydrangea and green hypericum berries.Oh and pine cones for the tables, and everywhere else -- of course!

For the sweetheart table, we built the centerpiece in a dark stained vintage box tied in twine. and added seeded eucalyptus and silver brunia to the creamy white blooms used through out.

Several details about the venue Dove Canyon Courtyard like the chandiler and gorgeous tenting make this an ideal place for ceremony and reception both.
The cute little ring bearer is not included.

We werent surprised by the attention the cake received. Guests piled near the gazebo with their smart-phones and cameras snapping images (and really-- who could blame them?) It was quite an impressive site and the only thing that the bride, Sami, was settled on when she met with us to plan her wedding.

I cant wait to show the professional photos. (so check back soon!) Sami and Garet were more than perfect and her in her dress is definitely something to see.  they were an amazingly easy and fun couple to work with and i think their day turned out just as special and fun as they planned.
